On December 26, the 2019 Shanghai Financiers Awards and Roundtable Conference took place on December 26.Zhou Lei, Vice President and Investment Director of Shanghai International Group (SIG) and Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai State-owned Assets Operation Co., Ltd., was selected as a "2019 Shanghai Financial Leader".
The selection of "Shanghai Financiers" that started in 2011 has taken place for nine consecutive years. As an important platform for "displaying the new look of Shanghai's financiers and inheriting the spirit of Oriental financiers", as well as one of the new symbols in the building of Shanghai International Financial Center, the event has made a positive impact in such aspects as enhancing the social influence and popularity of Shanghai's financial leaders, enhancing the soft power of Shanghai International Financial Center and enriching Shanghai's financial culture.
This year, the event combined independent application, nomination by the election committee, media review, online voting and expert review. Three awards: 2019 Figure of the Year in Shanghai International Financial Center Building, 2019 Shanghai Financial Leader and 2019 Shanghai Financial Innovator were presented. The winners are outstanding players in the field of finance and new finance, as well as financiers with great industrial influence and favorable social image that have made remarkable contributions to Shanghai's financial development and the building of Shanghai International Financial Center. According to statistics, 8 employees from the SIG system have won awards such as Shanghai Financial Leader and Shanghai Financial Innovator. They have actively implemented SIG's talent concept of "building top teams and cultivating industrial elitists".
