Shanghai International Group (SIG) held an expert argumentation meeting on innovation research during the "fourteenth five-year" period. Present were Zhou Lei, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of SIG; Zhong Maojun, Chief Operation Officer of SIG; as well as relevant staff of the Department of Strategic Development, the Department of Investment Management I, the Department of Investment Management II, the Department of Human Resources, the Department of Administration and other departments of SIG.
Five experts from relevant municipal departments and research institutions discussed and evaluated research findings. They deemed that the special research implements the strategic arrangements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government for building a globally influential technology innovation center, as well as the work requirements of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission for Shanghai's state-owned enterprises to further implement the innovation drive strategy, focuses on major strategic tasks such as the building of Shanghai Technology Innovation Center and Shanghai Fintech Center, proposes SIG's strategic goals, specific tasks and key moves of innovative development in the coming five years, and provides scientific basis for SIG to further advance the strategy of innovative development at the next stage.
The experts offered valuable advice on the innovative and transformational development of SIG at the next stage, said Zhou. SIG's development has been inseparable from "innovation" and "fight", SIG will face more tests and challenges in the coming five years when the international situation will be complex and volatile. In the future, SIG will implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government in depth, focus on serving the strategy of building Shanghai into a globally influential technology innovation Center, adhere to innovation guidance, give full play to its platform advantage and role in resource gathering, enhance development vitality, and make new contributions to Shanghai accelerating the building of a central node in the domestic cycle, as well as a strategic link between the domestic cycle and the international cycle.
